Monday 17th - The Bradbury Building

The Bradbury Building was built in 1893 and (according to Wiki) is one of only 4 buildings in Los Angeles to be designated as a National Historic Landmark.

We had been pointed to this historic 5 storey building by a guy in The Last Bookstore who said we HAD to go there.

The building is home to a few businesses now, and whilst the public areas are limited to the ground floor and the ornate metal railed staircases as far as the first floor, you cannot fail to be impressed with the decor of this building.

You can just imagine the elevators whirling and cranking.

The building itself has been used as a film location, most famously for "Blade Runner", but also the Michelle Pfeiffer film "Wolf" among others.

With the Christmas decorations adorning the railings, it was looking quite festive.
